PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia Launches the All-New Mazda CX-5

PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) made its debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2017 as the official Distributor of Mazda vehicles in Indonesia.

The original CX-5, which was launched in 2012, was the first of a new generation of models that feature Mazda’s brand hallmarks, namely, KODO – Soul of Motion design and SKYACTIV technology, both of which are driven by Mazda’s vision and pursuit of providing all its customers with superior driving pleasure, and outstanding environmental and safety performance.

Just like the first-generation model, the All-New CX-5 also augurs the future direction of Mazda’s vehicle engineering. The design of this latest evolution of the CX-5, both in terms of interior and exterior elements, surpasses that of the original. With the All-New CX-5, Mazda has elevated the car’s driving pleasure and responsive driving sensation, and its sense of comfort and peace of mind for both drivers and passengers alike, to a whole new level. The driving dynamics and chassis design have been greatly enhanced to provide a more refined ride that is insulated against noise, and strengthen the unity between the driver and the car, thus bringing to life Mazda’s trademark Jinba-ittai (horse and rider as one) and human-centred innovation and engineering. The SKYACTIV-G engine and six-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission have also been improved with better throttle control and responsiveness, further accentuating the Jinba-ittai driving experience.

“Our participation in GIIAS 2017 is indication that Mazda’s presence in Indonesia will grow from strength to strength, and we are heartened by the full support that we are getting from Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan,” said Mr Roy Arman Arfandy, President Director of PT EMI.

“The All-New CX-5 driving pleasure can be felt both by the driver and passengers. Mazda’s proprietary G-Vectoring Control (GVC) gives greater control to the driver who will be in sync with his vehicle in an intuitive way with every turn of the steering wheel or touch of the throttle. Simply put, the car goes where the driver expects it to go, resulting in increased driver confidence and peace of mind. And both the driver and passengers get to experience a comfortable ride with minimal torso-sway as GVC increases vehicle stability while reducing sideways sliding of the cabin occupants’ bodies, “he added.

The All-New Mazda CX-5 is available in two variants namely: the GT and Elite. Under the hood, there is a SKYACTIV-G 2.5L petrol engine, equipped with 6-speed automatic transmission SKYACTIV-DRIVE. The 2,500 cc engine capacity is capable of producing peak power of up to 190 Hp and 251 Nm of torque.

In addition to the All-New Mazda CX-5 at GIIAS 2017, Mazda’s other superior models, which have been launched in Indonesia, were also on display and these include the Mazda2, Mazda6, Mazda CX-3 and Mazda Biante. In addition, future models which will be soon be launched in Indonesia such as the Mazda6 Estate, Mazda3, Mazda CX-9 and Mazda MX-5 RF were also being showcased. This is further affirmation of Mazda’s commitment to always provide the latest and state-of-the-art Mazda products and technology for Mazda fans and lovers enthusiasts in Indonesia.
