The Unveiling of the all-new Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-8 at the Singapore Motorshow 2020
Eurokars Group and Mazda Motor Corporation jointly unveiled the all-new Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-8 at the Singapore Motorshow 2020 which took place from 9 to 12 January at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre.
In her opening address, Ms Ong Lay Ling, Group Managing Director of Eurokars Group, said, “Today, we take great pleasure in joining hands with Mazda Motor Corporation to officially unveil two iconic models which embody the new era of Mazda design and innovation – the All-New Mazda CX-30 and CX-8. Both models further evolve Mazda’s signature KODO design philosophy – a concept rooted in traditional Japanese aesthetics. They also incorporate cutting-edge SKYACTIV technology, driven by Mazda’s vision of providing car owners with superior driving pleasure, and outstanding environmental and safety performance.”
Mr Susumu Niinai, General Manager, ASEAN Business Office, Mazda Motor Corporation, also graced the event. In his speech, Mr Niinai talked about the philosophy behind the design of the new vehicles and some of the key attributes of the all-new Mazda CX-30 and Mazda CX-8.
“The CX-8 is a premium three-row SUV equipped with the latest technologies. Despite being an SUV, it offers both driving pleasure and comfort for all passengers, including those in the third row. With the Jinba-ittai performance, the stylish good looks, comfortable seating in the second and third row and a high-quality interior, I’m confident this is a car that will meet the needs of customers”, said Mr Niinai.
Mr Niinai also delineated some of the key features of the CX-30: “On the other hand, the all new CX-30 is a crossover that has a just-fit size for any kind of driver so you can take it wherever you want to go without hesitation. Its design embodies the joy of owning something that matches your sensibilities, the cabin is spacious enough to share good times with family and friends, and finally, vehicle performance is excellent, offering comfort and peace of mind so drivers and passengers can relax and enjoy the ride.”
“By adding the all-new CX-8 and all-new CX-30, our whole product lineup will be more attractive to a wide range of customers with different lifestyles and at different life stages,” said Mr Niinai.
Ms Ong added: “We are confident that these exciting models will appeal to car buyers and enthusiasts in Singapore.”
