Corporate Social Responsibility

As Eurokars Group drives luxury experiences and continues expansion in the region, we are also committed to giving back to society. Other than being an accomplished and celebrated business leader, Executive Chairman Mr Karsono Kwee is also a philanthropist, espousing values such as nurturing relationships and investing in the community.

As the largest privately-owned car distributorship in Singapore, Eurokars Group firmly believes in the power of automobiles in enhancing the lives of people and empowering them to fulfil their aspirations and meet their needs and requirements.

The Group donated a transporter to the Singapore Red Cross in 2021. The vehicle, which was modified for wheelchair access, enables elderly and disabled beneficiaries to travel to healthcare service providers and day activity centres.

In 2020, Eurokars Group became the first automotive company and private sector corporate entity in Singapore to donate an ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National Centre for Infectious Diseases amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The fully equipped ambulance provides vital aid and boosts the transfer of patients within and outside the hospital campus.

SPD received a vehicle modified for wheelchair access in 2017 to facilitate day-to-day operational activities including therapy and rehabilitation sessions.

Eurokars Group is a strong supporter and advocate of education. The Group believes that education is the vital key that unlocks opportunities in life and opens the doors to a bright future and promising career path.

In 2020, Eurokars Group donated $200,000 to the S R Nathan School of Human Development at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. The endowment fund provides financial support to part-time students from the Bachelor of Social Work programme. The Group became the first automotive company in Singapore to establish an endowed scholarship at the Singapore Management University in 2017. The $250,000 contribution provides financial assistance to undergraduates pursuing academic excellence. Both donations are complemented by matching grants from the Singapore Government. In 2022, the Group won the People’s Association Community Spirit Award for contributions to pandemic response. These efforts included the provision of masks and sanitisers to Singapore’s West Coast community and funding of shuttle bus services for two months to fetch seniors and those with disabilities to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations. Eurokars Group was also a Presenting Royal Co-Sponsor for Gala of Light, a fundraising event held in support of the Compassion Fund, a crisis response fund dedicated to helping students from low-income families.

Since its incorporation, Eurokars Group has supported a wide range of charitable and not-for-profit organisations and causes. The Gala took place on 7 October 2022 at Marina Bay Sands, in celebration of the Festival of Lights also known as Deepavali. The evening welcomed over 270 guests including Guest of Honour Mr. S Iswaran, Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Mr. David Lum, Managing Director of the Lum Chang Group, and Mr. Karsono Kwee, Executive Chairman of Eurokars Group.

The event offered guests an opportunity to get up close and personal with three outstanding icons from the BMW Group – the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost, the BMW iX, and the MINI Electric. Eurokars Group and the BMW Group have enjoyed a long-standing and fruitful partnership within the region since 2003.

On 1 October 2022, Eurokars Group celebrated a significant milestone as it began operations as an official authorised BMW dealer in Singapore. Mr. Karsono Kwee, Executive Chairman of Eurokars Group, opined, “The Gala of Light and its supporting efforts for the Compassion Fund is an admirable cause aligned with our Group’s values of contributing back to the society, extending care and inclusivity at every given opportunity.”

Mrs. Kay Iswaran, Chairperson of Compassion Fund, commented, "The funds raised from the Gala of Light are integral to Compassion Fund continuing its work of helping many families suffering tragic circumstances in our community. Without the generous support of our Presenting Royal co-sponsors, partners and Gala Committee members, this event would not have been possible.”

“It was truly a fun night of glitter, glamour and gratitude,” added Ms. Samia Khan and Ms. Bina Rampuria, the co-founders of Gala of Light, whose mission is focused on creating support and opportunities for financially challenged families in Singapore facing the crisis of a recent death, illness, or accident.

Guests were also treated to a curated evening by Mélange Singapore, which consisted of an exclusive fashion showcase by Tarun Tahiliani, acclaimed Master couturier to royalty and Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities, and interactive live performances by the Vyas Brothers from India.
